Let me introduce myself. I am Suzanne Bekke-Pasman, born in IJsselstein and raised in Wierden. I qualified as a midwife in 2001 at the Kweekschool voor Vroedvrouwen in Amsterdam, now the Academie Verloskunde Amsterdam Groningen. After qualifying I worked for almost fourteen years in another midwifery practice, where I gained a great deal of experience.
For some years now I have had my own practice, under the name beWonder. I chose that name because I have been through the wonder of being pregnant and giving birth three times myself — which produced two wonderful boys and one splendid daughter.
Every new pregnancy is something special, and I consider it a privilege to support pregnant women and their partners through it. Alongside expert care, personal contact with the people I look after matters a great deal to me. I take plenty of time for that during appointments, so there is always room to raise any uncertainty about the pregnancy or any fear of the birth, and to take it away. A small practice is no disadvantage there: I have seen every one of my clients myself and I know what is going on with them.
I work from two locations, one in Wierden and one in Vriezenveen, and I hold clinics at both — during the day or in the evening, whichever suits you better. Since these days you are pregnant together, it matters that your partner can come along. For both partners, and for any other members of the family, pregnancy, birth and the postnatal week are remarkable and far-reaching moments in a life. Good care and good support count for extra then, and I want to take ample time for it.
At each location I have a modern, advanced ultrasound machine, so I can make any scan that is needed whenever it is needed.
My dearest wish is that after the pregnancy and the postnatal week my clients can look back on the care they received from me with satisfaction.
