At the end of the postnatal period we hand over the care for your baby to the child health clinic; in Twenterand and Wierden that is GGD Twente. There the youth doctor and youth nurse follow your child's growth and development until the age of four, give the vaccinations from the national immunisation programme (in Dutch), and answer your questions about feeding, sleeping and raising a child. For your postnatal check-up you come back to us once more.
Within two to three weeks of the birth, someone from the youth health service visits you at home. They tell you about the child health clinic and make an appointment for your first visit there straight away.
So there is nothing for you to arrange: the child health clinic takes the initiative.
