What happens at your appointments
During your pregnancy you will normally come to the surgery between ten and twelve times. Early on that is every five to six weeks; towards the end it is every week. At these appointments we check your blood pressure and your weight, and we listen to your baby's heartbeat. Where there is reason to, we test your urine as well.
As the pregnancy goes on, we also talk about things such as:
Sometimes we do a scan as well.
We check that the pregnancy is going without complications. Should complications arise, we refer you to a gynaecologist or another specialist.
